Welcome to our first blog! We are hoping this site will serve as a way for us to capture moments through our adoption process as while as update our family and friends with news and even pictures while in Russia and back at home. We have started by recalling all the memorable dates up until this point. We are now in the "waiting stage" and many people who have gone through adoption recommend coping with this stage by journaling the process...so that is what we are doing here. Our agency expects our very approximate wait time to be between 8 - 10 months from the time our dossier was sent in until we bring our little guy home. Our first trip to Russia will be about 2 - 3 months prior to this. We figure that puts us somewhere around the new year. Looking forward to sharing this journey with all of you!

Hi from Moscow. I am sorry I have not posted on here much before now (on our computer in Petro I could not edit this spot). We are now in Moscow and will be heading to Minneapolist tomorrow. So, we will leave here at noon and arrive in Minneapolis at 11 pm but Moscow is 9 hours ahead of us. How long will it take this time for us to travel? I really wish I could be there for the holiday celebration but I will be thinking of all of you and cannot wait to see you all when I return after break. Have a safe and happy holiday!

Hey there! I read your comment on our blog this morning and was glad you left the link for your blog as well. I look forward to reading your blog. It will be fun to follow each other's blogs through this process even though we are assigned to different regions. Tver was actually a region I was interested in as well. You can contact CHI and have them add you to their blog roll as a waiting family if you haven't already. Who knows- maybe we will end up in Russia at the same time even if we are in different regions!!
