Happy Camper

We headed further North to the Gunflint Trail (that little Northeastern tip of Minnesota) for Brady's first cabin adventrure. He absolutely loved it. He adores being outside. Brady caught his first fish, swam and hiked.

This upcoming week will be my last before returning to work full time. We are checking out at least one new daycare for the upcoming school year. I am dreading bringing the kids to a new daycare and it's difficult to find one that accomodates our schedules. We had brought the kids to a daycare center but we decided against that now as it appears to be too similar to the orphanage in some ways and Brady has cried most of the time when there.

Leaving with a few pics from our trip...

I'm glad you are doing well. I check your blog several times a week. Riley looks so cute. I enjoyed the pics from camping.

Good luck finding a daycare you are comfortable with leaving your children. I had a hard time with this. We are now doing Mom's Day Out two days per week with our mothers watching the kiddos the other days. God will give you peace when it is the right place! Glad you've had the opportunity to stay home and spend time with your children!

Your trip looks like a lot of fun. We're taking a similar trip in Sept with the baby. Looking forward to it.

I hope you find the right place for the kids during the day.

Daycare is so hard, isn't it?!?! You never know if what you see is what you get. Brady is just the cutest on his camping trip! Hope you had a great summer.

I'm glad you all had a fun trip and are doing well! I hope the new daycare works out okay. It is so hard to put our kids in that type of environment for worry that it will be too similar to an orphanage. Hopefully your new one will be a good fit!

Also, Brady looks bigger in these pictures! Is he gaining some weight? I completely understand what you have been through with the weight situation! I hope he is doing well!

I can't believe how big Brady is getting. They both looked like they had a blast hiking. I will agree with the others, daycare is hard. Bryson cried all the time at his old one but he just started a new one and he hasn't cried once. I hope you find one that works out.

Brady is so cute! It looks like you guys are having so much fun. Good luck with daycare. I know this is not easy. We did an in-home for the same reason of feeling that the centers would feel too much like the baby home. Kaden loves it. There are only 6 kids there and he is the youngest so far. I hope you find a good daycare option for your family soon!

Hello there :-)

My husband Andrew and I are awaiting our first trip to Russia to register our documents. We are also adopting from Petrozavodsk! I'm from New Zealand and Andrew is from the UK and we are adopting as Hong Kong residents, where we live. We are working through the International Social Services agency who liaise with Russia through a US agency called VIDA. We are approaching 3 years since first starting and the last 12 weeks have been really tough, getting everything we need for registration. As you know, it is such an emtionally draining time. I was feeling really flat and kind of losing hope a little bit but then saw this site. Talk about inspiring! Thank you thank you thank you xxx. It is wonderful to see what is at the end. Best wishes, Olivia and Andrew
